Diesel Power was established in 1991 and has over 24 years of highly specialised experience in the mining and construction industries. Diesel Power is a wholly subsidiary of the JSE listed Buildmax Ltd since March 2008 and our core capabilities include contract opencast mining and related mining services, equipment sales and rental, civils and bulk earthworks, contract crushing and screening and materials handling.

 

Diesel Power is a reputable opencast mining contractor with Anglo American, Glencore, Sasol, Exxaro, Wescoal, HCI, African Copper and other contracted clients.  Our company owns quality mobile plant and we have a well-balanced, suitably experienced management team and site teams – including extensive experience, at all levels, in working in Africa and in hard-rock and soft rock opencast mining.

 

We currently operates predominantly within the Mpumalanga coalfields for Blue chip mining companies including Anglo Coal, Glencore, Exxaro and emerging miners HCI and Wescoal.
